Lodging

Blairsville is a rural spot, so the best lodging options are camping, if you're so inclined, or a country cabin. Hotels are also available in Blairsville. We recommend staying as close as possible to Vogel State Park, where the festivities will take place -- especially if you're driving. The winding mountain roads do not mix well with alcohol.

• DeSoto Falls: (beautiful, though it's a windy drive to Vogel).
• Lake Winfield Scott (also a long, winding drive).

Cabins:

• Vogel State Park: unfortunately, we hear they're all full.
